About Kew Gardens

For larger wedding parties of up to 200 guests, Kew has a multi-venue package using three of its beautiful venues throughout your wedding day.

To start off, the Nash Conservatory, which is licensed for civil ceremonies is a truly beautiful 19th century glass house that was moved to Kew in 1836, brick by brick, from the grounds of Buckingham Palace. Following your ceremony, depending on the weather you have the choice of holding a pre-dinner drinks reception outside in a secluded corner of the gardens behind the Nash Conservatory, or within one of our living glass houses, the Princess of Wales Conservatory. Famed for its rare orchids and free roaming Chinese water dragons, the Princess of Wales Conservatory is a tropical paradise made up of ten different climatic zones, ranging from mangrove rain forest to arid desert.

And finally for the evening event, the *Orangery *is Kew’s largest and most striking venue they hire out privately. Elegant arched windows let in floods of sunlight while your guests are served an exquisite dinner by your chosen caterer. The Orangery is large enough to accommodate 200 guests with room for a dance floor, so once the speeches have concluded you can dance the night away surrounded by your friends and family.

With 330 acres of gardens to choose from, you will not be lacking photo opportunities for your couples portraits; the events team provide you with a golf buggy and driver to transport you around the gardens so you can capture your first moments as husband and wife.

Cambridge Cottage is the former royal residence of the Duke of Cambridge. The Drawing Room is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 80 guests and the adjoining Gallery houses botanical artwork and can accommodate the same number for seated dining. Both rooms open onto the intimate, picturesque and secluded Duke’s Garden which is perfect for outdoor ceremonies, drinks, photographs, summer barbeques and garden parties. Cambridge Cottage can accommodate up to 150 guests for a cocktail reception, evening wedding reception or standing buffet.

Kew Palace, the former summer residence of King George III and his family is available to host small, intimate wedding ceremonies and receptions when hired in conjunction with the Royal Kitchens. Welcome your guests into this tiny, perfectly formed royal palace with 17th century style gardens, which can accommodate up to 30 guests for a ceremony and reception or 40 for a ceremony only.

Kew host weddings throughout the year Monday – Sunday, so contact the wedding team to discuss your wedding options at Kew and book in a time and date to come and see the venues on 0208 332 5641 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
